A full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session.
Your session is only confirmed once payment has been received. Please contact directly to book.
Arrivals & Timing
Please note that clients are responsible for arriving on time for their session. These mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, and late arrivals may result in reduced shooting time and possibly cancellation of your shoot.
We strongly recommend arriving 15 minutes early to allow time to park, get comfortable, and let little ones settle in and burn off that initial excitement. It’s a great chance to get familiar with the surroundings — just please avoid the designated photoshoot area until your session begins.
I will come to the carpark to find you so just stay close by!
Please park in the car park marked “the Meadows at Polehanger”.

Your Luxury Mini Album
These beautifully presented Accordion Mini Books are the perfect way to bring your images to life — a compact, fold-out mini album with big impact! Each 5" x 5" album features a personalised velvet cover in your choice of Soft Rose or Dijon Mustard, making it both stylish and sentimental.
Inside, your images are printed double-sided on Mohawk Eggshell fine art paper for a soft, luxurious finish, and the album closes neatly with an elegant magnetic cover.
Your album will be received in an eco friendly presentation box.

Fresh Flower Posy
During each session, the children will be given a fresh seasonal flower posy to present to their mum. It’s a simple, heartfelt moment that creates genuine reactions and the most joyful photographs.

FAQ's
How many people can attend?
These sessions are suitable for one mum and up to three children. If you would like to add further family members please get in touch and we can book out more than one session for you.
Can Dad's join in?
Although the focus is motherhood, we are not about exclusion.
I will leave this decision entirely up to Mum! However, I do suggest that Dads only join in towards the end of the shoot to ensure that Mum gets her chance to shine with her babies.
What age is this for?
These mini shoots are ideal for mums of every age and stage. Gift a session to a grandmother with her grandchildren, celebrate your own mum with her adult children, or capture a new mum with her little one—or even the wonderfully weathered mums juggling teenagers!
How do I get my voucher?
As each shoot is a gift, a personalised gift voucher will be made just for the recipient with their name and allocated time.
You can either arrange to collect this in person or have this posted to you at a small additional cost.

Mother’s Day Mini Session Style Guide
For Mum
A few simple tips to help you look and feel your best during your session:
1. Keep Colours Soft & Timeless
Neutrals and soft tones photograph beautifully outdoors.
Think:
-
Cream, beige, oatmeal
-
Soft blush, sage, dusty blue
-
Light grey, taupe, warm browns
Avoid:
-
Bright neons
-
Large logos or heavy graphics
-
Busy patterns
These can distract from the connection and faces.
2. Coordinate... Don’t Match
Aim for colours that complement each other rather than everyone wearing the exact same outfit.
Example combos:
-
Mum in a neutral dress + kids in soft linen shirts + Dad in warm earth tones
-
Beige, cream & sage palette
-
Denim + neutrals
3. Texture Adds Depth
Textures look great on camera!
Consider:
-
Floaty fabrics
-
Linen
-
Knitwear
-
Denim
-
Embroidery
-
Lace
They photograph beautifully and add a light, natural feel.
4. Comfort First
Choose outfits you can move and cuddle in. Sessions are relaxed, so comfort makes for natural smiles and great connection.
For little ones:
-
Avoid scratchy fabrics
-
Ensure shoes fit comfortably
-
Layers help with warmth and style
5. Accessories (Optional but Lovely!)
Small details add charm, such as:
-
Neutral hair bows
-
Delicate jewellery
-
Hats (for a few shots)
Just keep them simple so the focus stays on faces and connection.
6. Shoes Matter
Shoes will show in some photos.
Go for:
-
Simple leather sandals
-
Neutral trainers
-
Barefoot for little ones (adorable in meadow settings!)
Try to skip:
-
Bright sports shoes
-
Cartoon characters
-
Crocs (unless that’s part of your story!)
7. Think About Layers
Layers add interest and options without changing outfits. Great choices include:
-
Cardigans
-
Light knits
-
Denim jackets
-
Loose shawls or wraps
8. Hair & Makeup
Keep it natural and true to you. Wind or movement is beautiful outdoors—so don’t stress about perfection!
For mums:
-
A soft curl or loose up-do looks lovely
-
Natural makeup photographs best
-
Bring a clip or spare bobble just in case
Most importantly…
Wear what makes you feel comfortable, confident, and you. These photos are about connection, love, and motherhood—not perfection!

Children’s Wardrobe Guide
Dressing little ones for your Mother’s Day Mini should feel fun and stress-free! Here are some tips to help them look adorable and feel comfortable on the day.
1. Choose Soft, Natural Colours
Soft tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on faces and connection.
Lovely colour choices include:
-
Cream, ivory, oatmeal
-
Soft blush, peach, dusty pink
-
Sage, olive, eucalyptus green
-
Light grey, pebble, taupe
-
Denim blue, dusty blue, chambray
Avoid:
-
Neon colours
-
Bold logos or characters
-
Super high-contrast brights
2. Simple Patterns = Yes
Small patterns are absolutely fine, such as:
-
Tiny florals
-
Gingham
-
Ditsy prints
-
Subtle stripes
Avoid loud prints and big graphics, as they can distract in photos.
3. Fabrics & Textures That Photograph Well
Textures add visual interest without overwhelming the image.
Great options:
-
Knit jumpers or cardigans
-
Linen shirts and rompers
-
Denim dungarees
-
Cotton dresses
-
Muslin or gauze
-
Ribbed leggings
Steer clear of overly shiny or synthetic fabrics — they don’t photograph as softly.
4. Dress for Comfort & Movement
We want natural smiles, cuddles, and play — comfort helps!
Tips:
-
Nothing scratchy or stiff
-
No tight waistbands
-
Avoid clothing they’re likely to fuss with (e.g. itchy tags)
Think about the weather and layer accordingly.
5. Outfit Inspo by Age
Babies: knit rompers, ribbed leggings, cardigans, muslin playsuits
Toddlers: dungarees with tees, linen sets, smocked dresses, cosy knits
Kids: simple dresses, chinos + tees, linen shirts, chunky knits
6. Shoes & Feet
Shoes do show in some photos, so:
Great options:
-
Neutral trainers (white/beige)
-
Leather sandals
-
Soft boots
-
Barefoot for toddlers (adorable outdoors!)
Avoid:
-
Character shoes
-
Bright sports trainers
-
Crocs (unless they’re very “them!”)
7. Layers Add Options
Layers look cute and keep them comfy:
Ideas:
-
Cardigans
-
Knit jumpers
-
Denim jackets
-
Tights under dresses (in neutral tones)
8. Accessories — Keep Them Simple
Sweet, minimal accessories work well:
-
Tiny bows or clips
-
Small headbands
-
Simple hats (for a few shots)
-
No big sunglasses or costume jewellery
9. Avoid Matching — Coordinate Instead
If there are siblings, choose pieces within the same palette rather than exact matching.
Example palette:
-
Denim + cream + blush
-
Sage + beige + white
-
Dusty blue + oatmeal + grey
10. Bring a Spare (Just in Case!)
Little ones = surprises, so it’s worth bringing:
-
A backup top
-
Wipes
-
A layer for warmth
Most of all…
Let them be themselves! Happy, comfortable children make the most magical photographs.
Let’s get MUM in the picture and create memories that feel like motherhood — honest, warm, and full of love.
